Fire Retardant Compound

Myflam™ 8242 is a totally ‘halogen free’ and antimony free, FR formulated system primarily for use on automotive fabrics to impart some fire retardant properties. Myflam™ 8242 has been specifically designed to achieve low fogging with good edge-fray and tuft lock performance whilst meeting FMVSS302 standards. A specifically formulated compound based on ‘Halogen Free’ chemistry, for use on automotive fabrics where brominated systems are considered unacceptable. The product is designed for application by a ‘kiss coating’ technique. Coating weights will vary depending upon final performance requirements and weight of fabric, but would typically range from 50 to 80gsm.
