TPU injection molding

Specialty Molded Parts

We offer a broad choice of polymers for specialty molded parts. Our portfolio of injection molding grades includes ESTANE® TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), Pearlthane™ TPU, bio-based* ESTANE® ECO TPUIsoplast® ETP (engineered thermoplastic), and Estaloc™ RETPU (reinforced thermoplastic polyurethane). Our engineered polymers solutions cater for automotive, sports and recreation, technical parts, animal ID tags, seals, electronics and consumer molded products.

Outstanding Benefits of our TPU Portfolio for Specialty Molded Parts

  • Recyclability**
  • Transparency
  • High elasticity and flexibility at very low temperature
  • High impact strength and durability
  • Soft grades (shore hardness range of 70A to 90A) and harder TPU grades (50D to 88D) available.

Polycaprolactone-based Pearlthane™ and ESTANE® TPUs are fast cycling and have the following results:

  • Increased productivity: With higher speed, manufacturers can produce a higher volume of products within a given time frame, increasing their production capacity and meeting customer demands more efficiently.

  • Lower energy consumption and reduced operating costs: Less energy is required for heating /cooling processes.

Applications

Our specialty technologies are applied in varied molded parts, some examples below:

Pearlthane™ 11H

  • Elastomers with low compression set ideal for seals and gaskets.
  • Specialty high-performance materials engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and physical wear and tear.
  • Ideal for injection-molded parts with an extremely short cycle time and very good oil resistance.

ESTANE® ECO TPU

  • Resins for end-user applications which require renewable-sourced materials including athletic footwear.
  • Bio TPU™ that offers the same performance as standard TPU and meets aesthetics demands and tough UV and hydrolysis resistance specifications.*

ESTANE® 9000 TPU

  • Designed for light-colored or transparent applications
  • Specialty TPU for molded parts where UV exposure, color stability and weatherability performance are key requirements, e.g. automotive interior parts or electronics.
