For many decades, Lubrizol TempRite® Engineered Materials have enabled manufacturers to achieve significant performance improvements, mainly in blends with existing PVC formulations, where their high degree of compatibility has been exploited to produce cost-effective solutions in high-performance applications.
However, as well as in CPVC/PVC blends, they are now in addition used in a number of different applications: Lubrizol TempRite Engineered Materials can be processed as pure CPVC or in Custom Injection Moulding (CIM); they can also improve the performance of adhesives in numerous industry sectors, and are increasingly used in Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panels for building façades.
Chemical resistance, strength, reliability and the ability to resist high heat and pressure make it an ideal material for various applications
Increased temperature and heat resistance for improved dimensional stability
Improved fire resistance due to reduced flame spread, smoke development resistance and lower smoke density, resulting in an improved Euroclass rating
Increased softness, reduction in the amount of plasticiser and flame retardant required, and improved fire performance
Exceptional adhesion, reliable bonds and robust resistance to solvents and outside elements
Suitable for processing on conventional moulding equipment and a potential cost-effective replacement for expensive engineering resins.
