As part of the dynamic COVID-19 environment, it remains our priority to protect our employees and minimize any impact within our supply chain. To date, all our Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc.’s manufacturing sites have continued to operate with full staff, and we’ve taken proper protections across our employee base to minimize business disruption. We continue to closely monitor logistics flow and product availability.

The Lubrizol Life Science business is experiencing unprecedented increases in demand of our Carbopol® polymers related to the global shortage of hand sanitizer. The landscape is very dynamic and changing daily.

Lubrizol has taken several measures to respond to this increased demand during this challenging time:

• The Lubrizol Life Science business is prioritizing the supply for sanitizing and cleansing applications, proactively leveraging our global manufacturing and supply infrastructure.
• As we work through supply challenges, our experienced applications team is available to discuss alternative formulations using different grades of Lubrizol’s Carbopol® polymers. Please reach out to a Lubrizol representative for more information and formulation support.
• Prior to this global pandemic, Lubrizol proactively made meaningful investments in our operations to increase Carbopol® polymers capacity, these plans are being expedited.
