Versatile, water-dispersible nonionic, mild secondary surfactant used for personal care cleansing applications.

Chemonic™ LI-3 surfactant is a mild cleansing agent and solubilizer that adds emolliency to personal care products. Chemonic™ LI-3 surfactant is derived from coconut oil and used extensively as an amide formulating alternative. It works synergistically in combination with a wide variety of surfactants to build excellent foam stability and flash foaming characteristics in shampoos, bath gels, liquid soaps and facial cleansers.

Recommended Use level: Recommended use level is 1 to 6 wt% as supplied.

  • 1,4-Dioxane levels of 10 ppm maximum

  • Mild surfactant, providing excellent foaming and viscosity-building properties for body washes, shampoos, bubble baths, liquid soaps and mild cleansers
  • Provides the synergistic effects of increased foam and stability in combination with alkyl sulfates, alkyl ether sulfates, alkyl-benzene sulfonates and soaps
  • Reduces irritation potential of alkyl sulfates and alkyl ether sulfates when used in conjunction with them
