Education: Master’s degree in Chemical Science and Cosmetic Specialization from ITECH, Engineering School in Polymer Science of Lyon, France in 2015.
Years of experience: 9 years
Focus: Sophie provides technical support to Western European customers with special focus on the development of sustainable formulations. In addition, she is developing innovative and high performance formulations for application in skin cleansing.
Recent accomplishments: Sophie led the TrueYOU concept, dedicated to MEA (Middle East and Africa) region, catering to the market`s needs regarding ethnicity, skin color and curly/coily hair. Recently, she presented the lab session at in-cosmetics® Global Innovation Zone in Paris, April 2024 about Carbopol® Fusion S-20 polymer. This polymer won the Bronze Award in the most innovative raw material/functional category. In Europe, Sophie’s team is involved in the development of knowledge about this new ingredient, evaluating different “EU” surfactant chassis, mainly sulfate-free, low pH and preserved with organic acids.
