Construction Completed for New Lucant Plant

Mitsui Chemicals has completed construction of a new plant within the Ichihara Works of Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (Ichihara City, Chiba, Japan) to produce LUCANT™ hydrocarbon-based synthetic fluid.

CLEVELAND, Ohio and TOKYO, Japan – Lucant^TM hydrocarbon-based synthetic fluid provides excellent shear stability and thermochemical stability, enabling its usage as a performance polymer and viscosity modifier in the most demanding transportation and industrial applications—including automotive driveline fluids, industrial lubricants and greases.

Mitsui Chemicals—the first manufacturer to offer this unique synthetic fluid—has completed construction of a new plant at its Ichihara Works in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture which will allow them to increase its production of LUCANT. They marked completion of this facility during a ceremony on November 12.
