Qiong (Jean) Tang

Qiong (Jean) Tang, Ph.D. is a Senior Scientist with Lubrizol Life Science Health. Her work focuses on developing innovative technologies for pharmaceutical applications to enhance drug delivery and improve patient compliance. She has experience in developing novel materials for topical and parenteral drug delivery, characterizing the drug-carrier complexes, and evaluating drug delivery in vitro and in vivo. Jean holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron, and she also holds a Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Science from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati.

Calvin Chang

Calvin Chang is a Senior Scientist at IMCD US LLC. Calvin has nearly 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where he started working with a range of dosage forms, primarily OSDs, in generic formulation development. At IMCD, he is responsible for assisting customers through formulation concept development as well as troubleshooting existing formulations and processes. Calvin also supports sales and marketing efforts through training and developing product concepts, showcasing IMCD’s many ingredient offerings. He has a B.S. in Biology through the University of Minnesota. His areas of interest include coatings, direct compression, granulation, controlled release technologies, and liquid and semi-solid rheology. In our webinar, we will be exploring this related topic, “Rheological Approaches for Formulating Oral Suspensions,” which will be presented at AAPS PharmaSci 360 in October 2024.
