Function
Multi-lumen tubing serves many functions for a variety of medical device applications. The lumens can be used for passage of a guidewire, fluids, drugs, inflation/deflation of balloons, pull wires for tip actuation, housing electronic sensors, delivery of energy (thermal, RF, cryogenic) and many other purposes.
Description
Multi-lumen consists of two or more working channels (lumens) running the length of the catheter shaft. LLS Health manufactures custom multi-lumen tubing in virtually any configuration. The number, size and configuration of the lumens is limited only by the outer diameter, wall thickness, web thickness and material.
