The Easy-to-Extrude (ETE) thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) product line from Lubrizol Engineered Polymers consists of both polyether- and polyester-based resins starting at 50 Shore D. These products not only overcome the typical manufacturing problems associated with hard-grade extrusion, but also provide the performance capability to replace more expensive competitive materials such as PA11, PA12, COPE, or even COPA. The melt stability of our ETE TPU also sets it apart. Pellets are melted and maintained at a stable viscosity without the expected crystallized chunks, gels or flushing problems that occur during periodic line stoppages. Extrusion can be interrupted with material in the barrel for up to 25 minutes, with no restart problems or product defects.
